It’s summer popcorn movie time, and our guest poster Maya is recommending Night at the Museum:Battle of the Smithsonian if you’re heading out to movies this weekend. It features a Real Lif Girl Mogul – Amelia Earhart. Here’s what she has say – – Enjoy!
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian is a great movie. It is about Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) who gets caught up working on a new business and forgets what is important to him. We all met Larry in the first Night at the Museum movie, when he was still a guard at the Museum of Natural History. The movie is about the characters in the museum coming to life at night because of the magical powers of an ancient Egyptian tablet. This movie begins with the tablet, and all of Larry’s buddies, being moved to the Smithsonian Museum in Washington to be permanently stored. There the adventures start when an ancient Egyptian prince wants to take control of the tablets and get power to rule the world. When Larry finds out what is going on, he goes back on night guard duty to save his friends.
We learn a lot about history in this movie while we are too busy being entertained to realize it. There are characters from all walks of life: Politics (President Theodore Roosevelt), Science ( Dr. Albert Einstein) and History (Ankmenrah of Ancient Egypt). The most important character, who figures out how to save the tablets for Larry is someone I admire very much- the fascinating Amelia Earhart, who was the first woman to fly a plane across the Atlantic. The part I liked best was when the art in museum came to life.
This movie is filled with thrillers, funnies, and the true meaning of friendship. Watch as Larry Daley and Amelia Earhart risks his life for his friends.
