Idaho-Botanical_GardenHi, my name is Crystal and I am your Teen Ambassador for the state of Idaho.  Today my whole family and I volunteered at the Idaho Botanical Gardens for the Oktoberfest.  Both of my parents have a German background and wanted to be a part of their culture.  The Botanical Gardens is a non-profit organizations that is run mainly by volunteers.  They are opened year round with so many different camps, holiday events and outdoor concerts to go too.  I volunteer there many times during the year with my mom.  This place is so pretty and the history behind the gardens is really cool.  It used to be an old State Penitentiary from back in the late 1800’s.  So if you ever come to downtown Boise Idaho you definitely have the visit the history of the Prison and the Botanical Gardens.
