A Faraway Island Book review for tweens

Hey GirlMoguls – here is one of the best tween books around. It is based on a true story about a very sad time – World War II and the Holocaust.  In 1939, 500 German- Jewish children were sent to Sweden to love with Swedish families to escape persecution.   In this story two sisters, Stephie and Nellie leave Vienna for a little island off the coast of Sweden – but they have to go separate homes.  They have tow very different experiences – one is able to fit in, but the other is teased.  And of course, they wonder if they will ever see their parents again.
